Giants Alive, Rodgers Returns, Brunson Dominates

HOLBROOK, NYChristmas is just around the corner, the Giants are alive, Aaron Rodgers Looms, and Jalen Brunson leads the Knicks. Let’s have a look.

Knicks
Jalen Brunson led the Knicks to a 139-122 victory over the Suns Friday night, scoring a career-high 50 points. Brunson shot an incredible 9-9 from behind the arc and continues yet another tremendous season. He is averaging 25 PPG and is poised to lead this team deep into the playoffs.

Aaron Rodgers.
Despite suffering a torn Achilles just 3 months ago, Aaron Rodgers is expected to be medically cleared. This paves the way for his return to play on Christmas Eve against the Commanders. This would be an incredible achievement for Rodgers to essentially be the first player to return after suffering such a catastrophic injury. However with the Jets effectively having no shot at making the playoffs there is no reason to risk Rodgers suffering another injury, particularly with the state of the Gang Green O-line. At the end of the day, Rodgers is going to play if he wants to play. The Jets may be forced to appease their star QB in hopes of keeping happy as they pursue a Super Bowl next season.

Giants/Saints:

Jacob Sternberg

This has truly been one of the most bizarre seasons I can remember the Giants ever having. Despite starting 1-5 the NY Football Giants have a pulse. Coming off their best win of the season against the Packers, the Tommy Devito-led Giants sit 5-8 and just one game behind the 7th seed. The Giants play a crucial game on the road against the Saints today. This team is getting healthier as the season goes on with Darren Waller making his return. I, like many Giants fans, have zero expectation that this team is good enough to make a run. However, in an incredibly weak NFC the Giants aren’t dead yet.
