DJ Eberle: The youngest of our team, DJ is also the largest. Offensive Tackle Large. In fact, this Albany native used OT for Western New England University - until he graduated in May of 2014. Like Junoir Blaber, he's a regular on Rugby Wrap Up - his dad played rugby with The Matts. His cross to bear, however, is his love for the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres. As for baseball and basketball, it's the Yanks and Atlanta Hawks. Follow him on Twitter: @ByDJEberle.

Happy Martin Luther King Day… CLIFTON PARK, NY – Well, that was a better weekend of playoff football, right? From Matty Ice’s spectacular performance against Seattle and the Houston Texans hanging around as long as they could, to Green Bay’s heck of a win in Jerry World, and Chris Boswell’s performance in KC… Wow, that was […]

What Ebs’ Learned: Syracuse Hoops, Atlanta Hawks, NFL Playoffs, College Football Playoffs

WILKES-BARRE, PA – Without the Buffalo Bills playing this weekend, I didn’t quite know what to do. The Wild Card round was cool and all, but I had a pretty good hunch each one of the four games was going to be a blowout. And the game I was looking forward to most – the […]

Ebs’ Hot Takes: 2017, Ryan Brothers, LeBron James, Pittsburgh Steelers

WILKES-BARRE, PA – Happy New Year! What a year 2016 was! But some things don’t change. Like the Buffalo Bills not making the playoffs, and a year-plus later and E.J. Manuel is still not a quality starting quarterback in this league. Alabama still reigns supreme in college football, though that could change this weekend. LeBron James is […]

Ebs’ Hot Takes: Rex Ryan Fails, Bills Bad, NFL Stuff

CLIFTON PARK, NY – Alright. The Buffalo Bills are officially out of the playoff contention. Though it’s disappointing because, for the first time this season, all of the teams Buffalo needed to lose actually lost. Oh well. But anyways, I’m finally ready to talk about Rex Ryan. I’ve been holding my breath on this site and wanted […]

WILKES-BARRE, PA – I know a lot of you want me to go off on Rex Ryan, Tyrod Taylor and my beloved Buffalo Bills, but it’s not happening. Yet. To be honest, I’m still processing what happened Sunday. And with reports that Ryan could be out the door before some of you even read this, and […]

What We Learned: More On The College Football Playoff

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – When the College Football Playoff field was announced Sunday afternoon, there wasn’t much surprise that Washington took the fourth spot. The same four teams remained at the top, with little adjustment, and the No. 4 team could have gone either way between Penn State and the Huskies. Both teams won conference titles, beating […]

Ebs’ One Big Thing: The College Football Playoff

SITTING IN A MIGHTY TACO, NY – Even travelling out to Buffalo for a wedding and a Bills win won’t stop me from writing this week’s column! What transpired Saturday was the last thing the College Football Playoff selection committee wanted. An Ohio State victory over Michigan in the Shoe, a Penn State blowout over […]

WILKES-BARRE, PA – It’s a great time to be alive. Not only is Thanksgiving a few days away, but this is probably the best time of the year as a sports fan. College basketball is underway, and we’re seeing great non-conference matchups like Duke–Kansas take place, the Division I college football season is nearing championship […]

Ebs’ One Big Thing: NFL Officiating

WILKES-BARRE, PA – There’s a problem in the NFL, folks. Well, there’s a lot of problems, but I’m tackling one specific blunder this week: Officiating. It’s starting to get really bad, guys. The refs are costing teams games, and it’s happening all too frequently. Here’s the latest edition of Ebs’ One Big Thing! The NFL needs full-time officials. For […]
