WILKES-BARRE, PA – Monday is the most exciting day of the regular season in Major League Baseball. It’s trade deadline day! This is a make-or-break point for many teams. It doesn’t even matter if the team is in the playoff hunt or not. Take the New York Yankees for example. Trading Aroldis Chapman, Andrew Miller […]

Ebs Hot Takes: New York Yankees, Buffalo Bills, Kyrie Irving, New York Knicks, TBT

WILKES-BARRE, PA – Even in the middle of July, when there’s nothing but baseball, something’s always happening in the sports world. Kyrie Irving demanded a trade because why not? And then got pissed at LeBron James’ camp for possibly leaking that Irving wanted a trade. B did LeBron leak a trade? Probably not. Then there’s […]

CLIFTON PARK, NY – Like the MLB, the fantasy baseball season has entered the second half as well. And with the fantasy baseball trade deadline a mere two and a half weeks away, I thought I’d do another update on which players you should make a move for, stay away from and a dark horse […]

WILKES-BARRE, PA – We’re officially at the halfway point of the MLB season. Well, actually, we’re a little bit past that, but that’s OK. Moving on….. With the All-Star Break starting Monday, I figured out it would be a good idea to give out some awards. Also, instead of handing out the award to the […]

BETHANY BEACH, DE – Yup. You see that dateline? Yes, I’m at the beach on vacation and still writing my column. Some millennial bump on the log I am, right? OK, I’m pretty agitated right now with something that happened over the weekend in the sports world. So no witty intro this week. I’m just […]

Ebs’ Hot Takes: Yankees Bullpen, Philadelphia 76ers, Chicago Cubs, Jacoby Ellsbury

PNC FIELD, MOOSIC, PA – As I sit here watching Jacoby Ellsbury’s rehab assignment continue, I gave some serious thought on what I should write about today. It’s the quietest part of the year for sports. There’s baseball, and that’s it. But, I think I have a few topics to discuss. Here’s the latest batch […]

Ebs’ Bombers Thoughts: Aaron Judge, Greg Bird, Tyler Wade, Masahiro Tanaka

WILKES-BARRE, PA – As we enter the third month of the season, the New York Yankees continue to surprise me. I thought a wild card spot was in the cards, but definitely not a possible No. 1 seed. I mean, come on, the Yankees have outscored their opponents 55-9 in their last five games. And […]

WILKES-BARRE, PA – Jeez, I was really looking forward to sitting down to watch Game 2 of the NBA Finals Sunday night. Then, midway though the third quarter the game was out of hand and I put on an episode of Psych, which is a great show by the way. But that’s not the point.  […]

Ebs’ Fantasy Baseball Tips For Success and Babes

WILKES-BARRE, PA – I could have went a lot of ways with this column. The New York Yankees continue to stay red got. The New York Mets do not. I wholeheartedly believe that LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to take the Golden State Warriors to seven games and successfully defend their crown. […]

WILKES-BARRE, PA – It’s been quite some time since I provided an update on the New York Yankees’ prospects for the MTM faithful.  Since the big-league club seems to have everything under control – except Masahiro Tanaka, who better get it figured out and fast – I figured this would be a great time to […]
