BRONX, NY – I’m not gonna lie, this past week kicked my a$$ a little bit. Well, OK, a LOT! So if today’s post is a little more terse than usual, it’s probably because I have very little left in the tank. Anyway, let’s get to it, whatever “IT” might be.
Yanks and Bosox Renew Hostilities. I didn’t watch the game, but last night in the Bronx the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox started penning a new chapter in their storied and stormy history. I was shocked to see that Giancarlo Stanton made the roster for the Bombers. Does anyone even remember what he looks like? Anyway, for the sake of baseball, hope the series goes the full three games.
Giants Acquire JJ McCarthy. As a Minnesota Vikings fan, I wish the Giants and McCarthy nothing but luck. I don’t know that he ever got a fair shake in Minny, but his small sample size was not exactly stellar. I’ll tell you this, he may not be a better quarterback but I like him as a person more than I like Jaxson Dart. For the Vikings, a 5th round pick isn’t great, but it’s not nothing either. And the GM who drafted him already got canned, so it’s not like it’s the same guy who spent a first rounder on him now getting that much later pick. Vikes are currently 3-0 and not even playing great football yet, so it’s hard for me to be upset about anything. I mean, at least we’re not the Cowboys or Packers. Yeeesh!
Cowboys and Packers Stink. I just wanted to put a nice button on that last graph. Carry on.

Thanks to Short Matt. I just want to take a quick moment to thank my boss, Short Matt, for showing up for CheesyBruin’s funeral service this past Sunday. I give him lots o’ grief on this site, but he is really a great guy. I know there were countless others (my good friend JG Clancy for one) who wanted to be there. I will tell you that you were all there in spirit.
Thanks for stopping by today. Come on back tomorrow for Buddy Diaz, who should really try to explain how his Eagles got crushed by a severely-depleted Bears team on Monday night.
