PORT JEFF, NY – I hope everyone’s doing well. It’s been quite the week in sports, let’s recap with: Giant Disaster, MLB Playoffs.
Giant Disaster
A giant disaster struck early for the Giants. All the optimism lasted barely a week heading into Monday night’s game against the Rams. It finally seemed like fortune was turning for the G-Men, but the night began with a blow—losing star quarterback Jaxson Dart for the season. Left tackle Andrew Thomas and pass rusher Brian Burns also suffered injuries, while Malik Nabers hurt his shoulder but is expected to play Sunday. Burns and Thomas will miss some time, yet even without Dart, the Giants should be able to handle the lowly Titans. Whether this team can still make the playoffs with the current roster is unclear, but meaningless football before October is exhausting. There’s still plenty of talent on both sides of the ball to give fans something to fight for toward the season’s end. James played as poorly as possible on Monday, and there’s hope he can return to form, pushing the ball downfield. Ever the optimist, belief in the great coach John Harbaugh remains strong—this isn’t the end for this team.
There’s still plenty of time left in the season, and this roster is stronger than most people realize. Let’s focus on beating the Titans on Sunday, and then we’ll see how things unfold.
MLB Playoffs

The MLB postseason is almost here, and it’s one of my favorite times of the year—the low-scoring games, great pitching matchups, and sheer intensity are just awesome. Seeing a team like the Chicago White Sox, who once lost 103 games, make the playoffs this year is pretty cool. The Mets won’t be in the postseason, but there are still plenty of reasons to watch. The White Sox are one, and another is seeing if the Dodgers can pull off a three-peat or if it’s finally the Brewers’ time to shine.
