Sunday NFL Update: 3 Key Games

BUFFALO, NY – The NFL is here! Well, not in Buffalo this weekend, but you know what I mean… And to start us off with a bang, here are my three games to watch in the NFL this weekend in our Sunday NFL Update:

1) Buffalo Bills at New York Jets: Is this the season that Da Bills finally break the curse? I think so! But they have a tough challenge week one with the J-E-T-S that they have to get by first. It will be interesting to see how much of an impact Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow has on the game. My match-up to watch in this game is Bills WR Stevie Johnson vs Jets CB Darrelle Revis. At this point in Johnson’s career he has established himself as the only resident on “Revis Island.” However, we’ll have to see if Revis can answer the call this week.
My Prediction: Bills 24-10

Green Bay DB Charles Woodson

2) San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers: This is match-up of two of the powerhouses in the NFC, the 49ers were a couple mistakes away from the Super Bowl and the Packers went 15-1 last season. It’ll be a lot of fun to watch what MVP Aaron Rodgers can do against a stout 49ers defensive. What I’ll be watching for in this game is how converted saftey Charles Woodson handles the switch from cornerback to saftey.
My Prediction: Packers 31-21

3) Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos: A rematch from last year’s AFC Divisional playoff game, except one major difference, Peyton Manning is under center for the Broncos. This is Manning’s first game back after missing last year due to major neck problems, and look for him to come back guns blazing. What I’ll be looking for is how the Steelers can pick up the slack without defensive back Ryan Clark, who will be missing the game due to Sickle Cell Anaemia problems and the Mile High altitude. Last season Clark’s absence was the difference. Will it be this year?
My Prediction: Broncos 28-24
