MLB Playoffs; Moments To Remember

BRONX, NY – This year is the first of the new expanded format in the MLB Playoffs. I like what it has done to the division races but there are so many playoffs series now that you’d have to be a meth head to be able to stay awake for all of them. Plus who has the time to follow all of these series? The unemployed that is who. I guess baseball realizes that there are more unemployed meth heads now then there ever before, so it was the perfect time for another playoff round. I’m just glad the Orioles have tied the Yanks. Maybe we’ll get a series there after all.

The history of baseball playoffs started with the advent of the League Championship series in 1969. The division series was added in 1995 with the leagues realigned to include three division winners and a wild card team. I thought I would run down the Cliff Note Playoff Version to sum up the playoff history to date.
