Bills Fans Panic, Rodgers Back, Giants Dodge Bullet

tmp_30387-billsvpats_nieman_001-jpg861833179WILKES-BARRE, PA – Ah, where to start? I know many of you are wondering how I’m holding up after yet another Buffalo Bills loss. Probably curious how I’ll spin it into something positive. Well, I’m not going to make you wait any longer. It’s time for a fresh, piping hot set of hawt takes.

Here’s this week’s set of Ebs’ Hot Takes:

Buffalo Bills fans, it’s gonna be alright. While the Buffalo Bills wasted an opportunity Sunday, they’re definitely not in panic mode.

Week 1 is the time of the year when fans, and analysts, love to overreact. We’ve been waiting for football for seven months now, and because of it, we all love to jump to conclusions. But just hold the phone.

Tyrod Taylor is still an above-average quarterback with a very high ceiling. Every team is entitled to a bad game, and the Bills’ came today.

Sunday’s loss reminds me of the 14-13 Week 5 win last year at Tennessee, except for the win part. After that performance the offense scored 20-plus points nine times, including four games of 25-plus points. They’ll be okay.

How about those G-Men. Thankfully Terrance Williams forgot time wasn’t on his side. But we’ll move past that.
New York Giants fans, I told you! These guys are legit.

The defense took away Dallas Cowboys running back Zeke Elliot and wide receiver Dez Bryant. Respect.

On the other side of the ball, Eli Manning finally had some weapons to throw, too, aside from Odell Beckham Jr.

The Giants look like they’re on their way to an NFC East title.

Some fantasy nuggets. Big shoutout to Jameis Winston… There have been three QBs in NFL history to throw 4,000-plus yards as rookies. Their names? Cam Newton, Andrew Luck and Winston.

Do you know what happened to Newton and Luck the following year? They were both top-5 fantasy quarterbacks. Big year ahead for Winston.

So, Aaron Rodgers is back, huh? Three total touchdowns and 22 points for Rodgers against an up-and-coming Jacksonville Jaguars, I’ll take it. The Green Bay Packers offense is back, baby!

Oh, and don’t worry Angry Ward. Adrian Peterson will be okay. (See Bills hot take).

That’s all for me. Leave your two cents below and come back for Big Ben Whitney tomorrow.
