JACKSONVILLE, FL – After a lofty 8-2 record last week, I will attempt to repeat my Nostradamus-like insight for these latest FREE NFL Picks & Week #15 NFL Notes.
The Tennessee Titans travel to the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger for an AFC showdown. Both teams like to play physically and get after opposing quarterbacks. The question is, which QB will get the ball into the hands of their playmakers? I’m liking the old guy and his weapons Najee Harris and Diontae Johnson who are balling this season. Julio ( down by the schoolyard) Jones will play despite being hampered with a nagging hamstring so Ryan Tannehill will be counting on AJ Brown to find the end zone. It won’t be enough. Steelers 27 Titans 24
The Buffalo Bills have surprised many, including yours truly as they have failed miserably to run away with the AFC East. The lack of a consistent running game is taking its toll on Josh Allen who looks confused at times. This is a must-win for the Bills. North Carolina has crapped the bed after a 3-0 start and continue to play musical quarterbacks in an attempt to create offense. No Christian McCaffrey – no win. Buffalo 24 Panthers 14
While the New York Jets visiting the Miami Dolphins is not on anyone’s radar, it is a possible trap game for the Dolphins. Coming off a five game win streak and a bye, the Dolphins will be without talented rookie receiver Jaylen Waddle, Tua Tagovailoa‘s favorite target. The Jets have a history of messing up their draft position by knocking off a few teams down the stretch. Michael Carter returns which will help the running game. Zach Wilson will also use his feet to pass on the run and take off when the opportunity presents itself. This looks like a possible upset. Jets 21 Dolphins 20
Aaron Rodgers is poised to win another division title. Lamar Jackson will be staying on the sideline due to injury. Tyler Huntley is no Lamar, so this one looks obvious. Green Bay 28 Baltimore 21
Is Derek Carr a top tier signal caller? His big brother David is constantly inflating his ego nightly on the NFL Network. With Baker Mayfield and Case Keenum on the Covid list, Carr may be squaring off against a third string quarterback, Nick “Moon” Mullens. The Browns will be at a real disadvantage in this one. Raiders 21 Browns 17
While there is absolutely no intrigue for this choice, I will simply say “sayonara suckers” to the New York Giants. Dak Prescott is proving to be very average but Big Blew cannot compete offensively. The fact that they signed Dallas outcast Jaylon Smith less than two days before kickoff shows how inept the Giants front office has become. Turnovers are the only chance for these residents of the steel dump in the Meadowlands. Cowboys 35 Giants 17
Well, that is it for me for this week. Chime in if you must and come back tomorrow for English Premier League aficionado, Junoir Blaber.
