FREEHOLD, NJ – While all NFL teams are still eligible for a playoff spot, technically, division races are taking shape. Where will your favorite team end up after NFL Week 13? Let’s start with a couple of green teams with greener quarterbacks.
The Philadelphia Eagles return to the steel dump in the Meadowlands to avenge their embarrassing loss to the Giants. The only difference is that their host will be Zach Wilson and his New York Jets. Led by Gardner Minshew who is filling in for Jalen “My Ankle” Hurts, the Eagles will line up against an average Jets defense. Minshew will be motivated as he auditions for his next opportunity somewhere else. Will his timing with the Eagle receivers click? Philly must run the ball effectively in this one. The Jets Wilson loves throwing to who ever is open regardless of the color Jersey and will be scrambling for sure against an aggressive Eagles defensive. While there is a chance, I have to go with the Angry Birds in this one. Eagles 20 Jets 17
Now to… Nobody’s Game of the Week
With Danny Dimes Jones parked for the trip to Miami, Big Blew will be led by Gumby Glennon. The Dolphins defense has steadily improved after an abysmal start which will prove to be the difference. The Giants only shot is if Saquon Barkley can find the mojo from his freshman year and put up some points. Tua to Waddle is rapidly becoming a scary combo. Dolphins 24 Giants 17
Lamar Jackson will be running and gunning vs Big Ben Roethlisberger . The Steelers look pretty average this year despite having a very good receiving corps and talented running back Najee Harris. The problem for Pittsburgh is that Jackson is hungry and just too talented to stop. Ben needs Diontae Johnson to have a bigger day than usual. Ravens 27 Steelers 21
The Washington Football Team heads west to Sin City to take on David Carr and the Vegas Raiders. Feeling confident after holding on at Dallas Thanksgiving evening, the rested Raiders should have an edge but there is something special about River Boat Ron Rivera and his replacement quarterback Taylor Heinicke . Add Dangerous Terry McLaurin and I smell upset. Washington 27 Raiders 24
Nobody expected this next contest to be so important for the Buffalo Bills. After all, I picked them to win the AFC East easily. That sums up my ability to pick winners. Josh Allen may have to risk the body to keep his Bills in this race . Opie Taylor double Mac Jones has clearly left the Jaguars and Jets scratching their heads after letting him drop into the hands of Dr. Evil Bill Belichick and the Patriots. This is what Monday Night Football is all about. New England 31 Bills 28
Angry Ward’s Vikings Will Defeat the Feisty Detroit Lions! Minnesota 23 Detroit 14
