SPANISH HARLEM – I know what you’re thinking. The Knicks won a NBA Playoffs series for the first time in over a decade and Aaron Judge had three hits on his birthday – and my headline is about the NFL Draft?! Crazy right… The NFL is back to steal the spotlight from all the others sports in America. I don’t really know why I care so much about this because there are a bunch of players I never heard of, and the few that I have never watched play one game. But really, who cares? It’s the NFL… and Aaron Rodgers is a J-E-T-S QB.
It’s Drafty in here…
I will be stuck to my seat and excited to see who the Philadelphia Eagles will draft, as they have the 10th and 30th pick in the first round. The Draft-day deal last year with the New Orleans Saints netted my team another first-round selection. So, a solid thank you to the Saints for going all in and failing to make any impact whatsoever during the season.
In New York, we have some real genuine excitement! The New York Giants made the playoffs and are looking to stock-up after a couple of years of mediocre seasons. They will obviously address the O-line (insert joke here) and hopefully get a good receiver for Daniel Jones – possibly for the first time in his NY career.
Then we have…
The New York Jets… depending on your idea of the trade, most are ecstatic to finally have a quarterback they should have no problem trusting – on the field – at least. This team has a nice young explosive offense, that should excel under Aaron Rodgers (It still feels weird saying his name being associated with this other Gang Green). Their draft could really go in any direction, as they don’t have too many holes to fill. I’m guessing they try to draft a dynamic tight end in the first couple of rounds.
That’s it for now, let me know who you want drafted on your respective teams. Come back tomorrow for more content.
