The Knicks Jalen Brunson knows that man-buns & Jets QBs are a bad thing.

HOLBROOK, NY – It was cold yesterday in the Big Apple. But Mattsville was all warm and fuzzy because of the New York Knicks and New York Rangers. Since the Blueshirts play on ice, we’ll leave them out of today’s queue – until you adapt to the chill of winter. You may have your spirits dampened, though, because the J-E-T-S are on today’s agenda. Backdrop established, let’s get to today’s MTM headliners: Jets v Dolphins, Knicks Comeback, CM PUNK Returns

Knicks comeback.

The Knicks stunned the Heat overcoming a 21-point deficit to win 100-98 on Friday. Gotta say, this team is a ton of fun to watch. The Jalen Brunson signing will go down as one the best moves this organization has ever made. Brunson is a borderline superstar that is absolutely capable of leading this team deep into the playoffs. Helping Brunson, the Knicks have seen an ascension from RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley as well as the continued offensive dominance from Julius Randle. These realities have them as one of the best in the east.

Jets/Dolphins

It was indeed a Black Friday for Gang Green, as the Jets lost the NFL’s first ever Black Friday game 34-13 to the Dolphins. I’m not quite sure how, but the Jets sink to a new low each week. I can’t even begin to fathom the reasoning behind allowing Tim Boyle to actually take meaningful snaps for the organization. I understand a change was needed. Why not Trevor Semien? Semien is by no means a good or even average NFL QB. During his career, however, Semien has shown the ability to competently run an offense – even if it was in small spurts. Boyle was horrendous at UConn and somehow ended up as the backup to Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. Seemingly, this is how he landed here with an apparent “knowledge” of the Nathaniel Hackett system. I’m not sure what the Jets expected to change from Wilson to Boyle. Nonetheless, the Jets can put an end to any playoff aspirations. There is absolutely no reason for Rodgers to attempt a miracle comeback with the Jets sitting at 4-7. The BEST course of action here is to let him fully recover, sign and draft as many offensive lineman as possible and hope a few stick.

Jacob Sternberg

Only the Jets.

In all the years I’ve watched football, I can say with certainty I’d never seen a Hail Mary taken the other way for a pick six.

CM PUNK RETURNS!!!

I’ll leave the ramifications to my brother Jackson but Punk has always belonged back with the WWE – and I’m very excited to see where things go from here.

Speaking of WWE superstars….
