PORT JEFF, NY– Greetings on what’s been an incredible week of NY Sports. Let’s hope the Mets can finish it on a high note. Today’s topics: Knicks Big Moves, Mets Hot Streak, NBA News
Knicks Big Moves
What an incredible week for the NY Knicks. Trading for Mikal Bridges and re-signing OG Anunoby, now gives them arguably the two best perimeter defenders in the NBA. In addition to that, the Knicks also had a very solid NBA Draft adding Tyler Kolek who was an excellent PG at Marquette and could contribute immediately off the bench, as well as Pacome Dadiet a young player who played overseas. The Knicks rotation is much deeper now. Injuries forced Josh Hart and Donte Divencienzo into more prominent roles which they thrived in, however if fully healthy they’ll both come off the bench and provide incredible depth to what’s now maybe the second best team in the Eastern Conference.
Mets Hot Streak.
The Mets blew a 6-1 lead Saturday against the Astros, however as a whole they’ve been playing some truly incredible baseball. Since moving Francisco Lindor to the leadoff spot this lineup has been unrecognizable to the one from what we saw for the first two months. Since May 30, the Mets are averaging over 6 runs per game. Truly an astonishing turn around. The bullpen however has been very shaky the last few games without Diaz and now without Drew Smith for the remainder of the season. If they’re serious about being contenders they’ll need to make a move for an arm or two to solidify the back end of the pen’. Aside from that, let’s just enjoy this magical ride they’re on for as long as it lasts.

PG Sweepstakes
Paul George declined his player option and will test the free agency waters. I think George is destined to end up in Philadelphia, it’s a perfect match and the Sixers would finally add the missing piece to compliment Embiid and Maxey.
Dejounte Murray.
The Pelicans acquired Dejounte Murray from the Hawks in exchange for a few picks. I love this for New Orleans, it felt a change was needed there and Murray is the type of player to make them serious contenders in the Western Conference.
Bronny.
The Lakers selected LeBron’s son Bronny with the 55th pick in the NBA Draft. All basketball fans knew this was coming, however it’s a little insane to see it come to fruition and that a team would waste a draft pick like this, Bronny is by no means a highly regarded prospect and averaged about 3 PPG at USC. I guess whatever it takes to please LeBron.
