Giants vs Cowboys Reaction, Yankees Clinch, Mets vs Braves Postponed.

PORT JEFFERSON, NY – You know what we have to talk about. Giants vs Cowboys Reaction, Yankees Clinch, Mets vs Braves Postponed.

Giants vs Cowboys Reaction.

After losing game one of the series to the Braves, a hurricane struck the area of Atlanta and postponed the two remaining games for the time being. The Braves could have easily avoided this situation by simply moving the games to a neutral site or playing them during the day, similar to what the Tigers did to combat the weather in their series with Tampa Bay. This also puts the Mets pitching plans in a bit of a state of flux, they now cannot set up their rotation for a playoff series (granted they get there) and have to roll the dice and just see what happens. Having said all of that, the Mets will have a chance to make the postseason on the final day of the season. We all would have signed up for that on Opening Day. Finish the job this time boys! A crucial three game set in Milwaukee begins tonight.

Yankees Clinch

It was a tough road for the Yanks after a roaring start. The Bronx bombers played like one of the worst teams in baseball for two months and left fans wondering if this team was the same as years past. However, the massive addition of Jazz Chisholm at the deadline to bolster the lineup was the spark the team needed to find it’s form. The Yankees did suffer a blow, however, losing SP Nestor Cortes for the rest of the season. The loss will put their pitching depth to the test heading into October. The offense led by Judge and Soto continues to amaze and will almost certainly be the deciding factor of whether or not this team will make a deep postseason run.

The game was there for the taking for G-Men but yet again, they fell short in a prime time game against a divisional opponent. The Giants routinely drove the ball down the field but could not score a touchdown. The defense played well, the pass rush finally showed up in a big spot. Despite the brutal loss there were some positives to takeaway from this game. Malik Nabers, despite leaving the game with a concussion went off again for 12 catches and 111 yards receiving, Daniel Jones, in my opinion played one of his better games as a Giant, he was deceive and made good decisions. Another bright spot in a otherwise horrible game was third year receiver Wan’dale Robinson who caught 11 passes for 71 yards. There is a nucleus being formed that us fans can cling to for some optimism in what looks like another lost season. The officiating did not help matters for Big Blue but we can’t blame them for dropped passes and an inability to put the ball in end zone.
