Jets, Giants Future, More Super Bowl Stuff

PORT JEFF, NY – Hello. It’s cold. It’s wet. It’s February. Let’s talk some sports: Jets, Giants Future, More Super Bowl Stuff

Giants Future

After yet another disastrous season, the Giants will enter the 2025 season with a ton of questions. For starters, who will be the Quarterback? After winning a meaningless week 17 against the Colts, the Giants landed themselves the third pick in this years draft which isn’t considered particularly a deep one when it comes to Quarterbacks. They could opt to draft one, there’s a chance Cam Ward falls to three or they’ll almost certainly have the chance to select Shuedur Sanders. I’m skeptical of both. I think the Giants need to build the O-line. They have genuinely no hope of ever having a functional offense without a competent offensive line. That leaves the problem of QB. Still, I have no idea what the right answer to this question is. Some have suggested the Giants trade for Matt Stafford. My issue with that scenario is, this roster isn’t good. There are many holes. Is 38-year-old  Stafford still good enough to elevate a bad roster with a bad O-line? At this point, I have no faith they’ll make the right decision.

Jets Future

In a stunningly competent move, the Jets have decided to move on from Aaron Rodgers. This is without a doubt the correct move. Rodgers simply isn’t good enough anymore to put up with his off the field antics. This Jets roster is still very talented on both sides of the ball, and I really like the hire of Aaron Glenn at HC. If any team should trade for Stafford, it’s the Jets. Bolster the O-line in the draft and this team can absolutely be a playoff team in 2025

Jacob Sternberg

I was absolutely stunned this past Sunday. I thought the Eagles absolutely had a chance to win, however I didn’t see how Mahomes and the Chiefs got blown up. Much like his first Super Bowl loss to the Bucs, the Eagles dominated the trenches and pressured Mahomes all night and didn’t allow any sort of rhythm for the offense to get into. This was the worst game Mahomes has ever played IMO by a considerable margin. For the Eagles, they’re well positioned for the next several years to continue their dominance in the NFC.
