SPANISH HARLEM – Hello. Not sure about you, but I’m freezing my baseballs off. Complaining segues to the trend of complaining about the need for more sports news to write/talk about. Hockey doesn’t count for me. With that, I’ll try my best to make nothing into a sports column. Let’s start with some Yankees and end with some Knicks.
Giancarlo Stanton is Hurt Again
The season hasn’t even started yet and Stanton is already hurt. I guess it’s not surprising that he lives in a perpetual hurt state, as it seems this is something he dealt with last season and into the playoffs. That didn’t stop him from contributing monster numbers in the Yankees quest for number 28 and it goes to show the type of player he can be even when remotely healthy.
We are at point where you do everything you possibly can to get 100 games out of him. He will get streaky, and the homers will come in bunches but it’s all about getting him enough at bats. The more comfortable he is, the more likely we are of getting the best version of him… in spurts of course. He has shown to be quite the force when we have him in the lineup through the playoffs and that should be Aaron Boone mind set throughout the year.
Post All-Star Games Needs for the New York Knicks

This has been one of the greatest regular seasons I have witnessed and yet they have never been totally healthy as a group. Mitchell Robinson has not played one game this season and he should return sooner rather than later and that will make this team more formidable. He will only make this team better if he is healthy and on the floor but that won’t be an easy task. They will have to bring him along slowing hoping to get the best version of Robinson. As with Stanton, it will be on Tom Thibodeau to get the most out of Robinson while also trying to get him in enough shape to play meaning minutes once the playoffs start.
That’s it for now, please come back tomorrow for more good content from Action Jackson Sternberg.
