SPANISH HARLEM – As we get closer to the NBA playoffs, we still have the relevant to go over, specifically if you’re New York Knicks and/or Denver Nuggets fans. Let’s jump-ball into the two topics for discussion: Knicks Lose Again to Boston, Mike Malone Out In Denver.
The Knicks Lose Again to the Celtics
This is a game I desperately wanted, not just because they remain without a win against the top 3 teams in the NBA, but because it’s Boston. As a Yankees and Knicks fan, you are supposed to despise the Red Sox and Celtics. You just never want to see your team lose against those teams and it is something that many Knicks fan have had trouble dealing with this season, including myself.
On the bright side, this was one of the better games to watch when you consider that the prior loses were by more than double digits. You saw very good games from Karl-Anthony Towns and a bounce back game from Jalen Brunson but that was still not enough to get the win. On the bright side, the Knicks are finally whole again as a team and if they remain healthy, I like their chances against any team in the East. I will say, I think they are year away from really competing for a championship, yet injuries can change any team’s chances and improve chances for those teams that can take advantage.
Nuggets Fired Head Coach and GM

The last two weeks have been weird for crazy coaches and upper management. First Memphis fires their coach before the playoffs and now we get Mike Malone out in Denver for team that hopes to contend for another NBA championship. No matter how you put it, this is a desperate move by a desperate front office. Malone is one of the most respected coaches in the game and he will see the light of day on another team really soon. Any teams with an opening at head coach will look to interview him, so it won’t be long before he is back in the game, but it just feels so weird seeing two coaches with teams going into the playoffs be let go. It’s definitely a first for me and not something you want to see if you’re a fan of the Denver Nuggets.
That’s it for now, please come back tomorrow for more great content from Action Jackson Sternberg.
