Mets Hot Start, WrestleMania Preview and Predictions

PORT JEFF, NY – TGIF! Let’s party! Or… Let’s talk some sports: Mets Hot Start, WrestleMania Preview and Predictions

The Mets have had a hot start this season.

After last year, most fans, (including me), would agree starting 0-5 is not ideal. Yeah, it’s a 162-game season, but still. This year, however, the team is 8-4 and seems to be improving daily. The bullpen has been the best in baseball – led by Reed Garrett, Max Kranick, and Jose Butto. These three have allowed the Mets to match up with any team in games. If Edwin Diaz can start pitching as we know he can, this unit could be the best in baseball. On the offensive side, the offense has come alive after a miserable first series in Houston. The big three of Alonso, Lindor, and Soto have been hitting well, even though Soto and Lindor have not hit for much power yet. With Brett Baty’s struggles, many fans are eagerly awaiting Jeff McNeil’s return from an oblique injury. It should not be long before we see the former batting champion back in action.

WrestleMania Preview and Predictions

The Showcase of Immortals is just a week away, and I am as excited as anyone to break it down. We don’t have the time to go over every and storyline, but we’ll focus on the ones that have the most hype and intrigue. start with a triple threat match between CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns. This match, if you ask any wrestling enthusiast, is a dream match. For CM Punk to return to WWE and finally have his big main event match at WrestleMania against two of the biggest stars in the company, and two men who Punk has said to have real-life problems with, this match should be everything that a main event should be. I believe Seth Rollins, one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time, will walk away with the win.

John Cena Shocked The World

Jackson Sternberg

When he turned heel about a month ago, it was stunning. In the main event of night two, Cena will face Cody Rhodes for the WWE championship. The back forth between the two over the last few weeks has been outstanding and fascinating to see how well Cena plays a “heel” after being a good guy for over 20 years. This match is truly one of those where you can see 2-3 different outcomes. Perhaps John Cena makes history and wins his 17th world title with help from the “final boss,” The Rock. Or Cena doesn’t need help and proves that he is the best to ever lace them up by beating Cody clean in the middle the ring. Alternatively, Cody Rhodes could send John Cena into an early retirement with a win on the biggest stage of them all. My two cents? Cena walks away with his record 17th championship with some help from The Rock, thus setting in motion a year-long reign of a heel John Cena for the whole world to see. Finally, we get John Cena, the best “babyface” ever as champ, with a whole different persona.
