Knicks up 2-0, Mets Choke, Giants moves.

PORT JEFF, at the risk of sounding redundant. Well just hop into our topic: The Knicks are up 2-0, the Mets give one away, and the Giants make moves.

The Knicks were up 2-0. They next extended their lead over the Sixers and the eastern conference playoffs. The Sixers were without their best player, Joel Embiid, in game two in a close game. He probably would’ve made a difference, but the Knicks ‘ knack for making the right play at the right time once again prevailed. The next lost OG Anunoby to a hamstring injury. He is considered day-to-day, but even if OG is less than 100%, I think the Knicks are just the better team.

The Mets gave one away. The Maha started to play better, winning four out of the last five and aiming for a sweep in Denver. The Mets got another great start from Christian Scott, who is returning from Tommy John surgery. The Mets led this game most of the way, but the lack of bullpen depth cost the Mets, yet again. It is truly baffling to me why this team still uses Craig Kimbel in high leverage situations. This is one of those things where it’s a little bit both the manager and the general manager to go into a game where you need to win and the only option you feel comfortable using is 39-year-old Craig Kimbrel. It is absolutely baffling.

The Giants have made moves, ever since the blockbuster trade that saw Dexter Lawrence go to the Cincinnati Bengals. fans such as I wondered what the Giants would do to address the interior of the defensive line. The Giants actually did address said defensive line, by signing DJ Reader and Shelby Harris. With these two additions, the giant front seven should be much improved and should be even better against the run going into the season.
