SPANISH HARLEM – What a week it has been to be a New York Knicks fan. Winning the series against the Hawks in Atlanta and in the fashion that it was done. Taking that same energy to win convincingly against the 76ers is something I want to discuss further while also giving my insight into the game yesterday.
My Feelings on Game 1
I know I’m a little late on this because I had to wait on today to give me assessment on what I saw, which is nothing short of remarkable. While I have seen some awesome win streaks and in the last few years, there were moments of immense pride, I don’t think there is any way to explain what I have seen from this team the last 3 games. It was a mix of disbelief and extreme joy, two things I had ever felt with the Knicks in my life. Now, I know this could be short lived and depending on how game 2 goes, I could be right back to desperation but for now, I will enjoy this feeling for however long it lasts.
My Feelings on Game 2

This game went exactly how you would expect it to go once you knew that Joel Embid was ruled out. The 76ers ran their offense at top speed, sprinting into their sets while playing with a better flow. Don’t get me wrong, this team is better with a healthy Embid on the floor, but he does slow them down and Tyrese Maxey plays better when he is allowed to run free like a cheetah to the basket.
Yes, the Knicks won. Yet it was not as easy as many thought it would be. We all knew the 76ers would play better in game with or without their star center but give the Knicks credit, they battled. Now we await news on OG Anunoby (please pray), who is probably the most important player on this team. Most fans didn’t wake up today counting their lucky stars.
The Knicks took care of business at home and now it’s off to Philly, where another challenge will begin.
That’s it for now, please come back tomorrow for more great revelations from Jackson Sternberg.
