Terrific Ward Tuesday: Dominic Smith Goes D’oh! and Get a Load of Joe

PALM BEACH, FL – Got an urgent missive from one Ben Whitney this morning. Seems he and his brood are vacationing in California, hanging out with Black Hole degenerates at Raiders Camp, and he loaned his laptop to Gruden who needed it to add some archaic plays from the leather helmet era to his playbook this year. Anyway, even though I’m logging some r&r time myself, down in the worst sports state in the United States, I’ve decided to step in and post something quick and pointless.

Dominic Smith Error. Mets fans are up in arms because Dominic Smith made a Bad News Bears type error that cost the team a potential W last night. This is hilarious. Look it was definitely a ball that Timmy Lupus would have had the good sense to yield to Kelly Leake, but it happened. As bad as it was, all errors will pale in comparison to the one Luis Castillo made against the Yankees years ago. Keep your dauber up, Dom.

Joe Blow. In unrelated baseball news, here’s an absolutely hilarious photo/poster of Joe Torre that was brought to my attention by one Dan Epstein, author of Big Hair and Plastic Grass. Seriously, enjoy this.

You know what? There’s just no topping this. Why should I bother? It’s a terrific Tuesday out there. Enjoy it, everyone. Also be sure to come back tomorrow for some complete a-hole, and don’t forget to follow us on My Space and CB Radio.

About Angry Ward 774 Articles
Angry Ward, who has admirers at the New York Times, is the quintessential angry sports fan but for one exception... he's flat-out funny. And the angrier he gets, the more amusing his work becomes. Psychiatrists say, "Angry Ward's 'anger' is a direct result of "Bronx/Mets syndrome: growing up in the Bronx as a Mets fan." As if that weren't enough, his Minnesota North Stars abandoned him for Dallas, forcing him to embrace The Wild the way Nancy Pelosi embraces Mitch McConnell at charity events. And while his Vikings only tease him with success, his Golden State Warriors actually win these days. A-Dubya is MTM's longest-tenured indentured servant, its Larry David and quite simply, "The Franchise." (Junoir Blaber disputes this). Vent, curse and giggle with him on Angry Ward Wednesdays.
