NOTE: In an unprecedented move by Management, a writer is being reprimanded for bias! Buddy Diaz – Yankees fan – has ignored the glorious signing of Pete Alonso by the New York Mets. Thus, the featured photo. Feel free to comment on all things Mets, along with Mr. Diaz’s talking points below.
SPANISH HARLEM – As we get closer to the Super Bowl, it reminds me that I have to request a PTO day because there is no way I’m going to work on Monday. If Philadelphia wins, I will be drinking myself happy to sleep and if they lose, I will be drinking to try to forget that they lost. As you can assume, I’m hoping for the winning part to happen but let’s get into more Eagles and Knicks news.
Can The Eagles Stop a Three-peat?
When you are as good as the Kansas City Chiefs have been, you will get your haters. I’m not here to discuss the official’s favoritism toward anything Pat Mahomes or the Chiefs but something has to give someday, right? As an Eagles fan, I’m hoping that day comes this Sunday because I would hate to lose again to KC. IMO, they have the better team this time around and should have an overpowered running back in Saquon Barkley, who is looking to take the world by storm, as the best athlete in football.
It’s been weird playoffs for the Eagles, as the media has criticized their offense for being so run heavy and on Jalen Hurts for his limited passing yards but in my younger days, running the football well and having a great defense was the desired choice for any team going into the playoffs. They are bringing hardnosed physical football back and all the media does is complain. For some, like me, it has been a hellva ride seeing Barkley do other worldly things on the football field. I just can’t wait to see if he has another big game in him on the grandest stage.
Should the Knicks Make a Trade

With the NBA Trade Deadline only hours away, many Knicks fans want to see if they will make a trade to strengthen this team for the stretch run. I can’t see anything big happening because they do need a center and the best one on the market is the one they already have, if Mitchell Robinson is healthy. The key word is healthy and regardless of what may be out there, the salary cap will play a major role in what can come back to the Knicks. There are rumors that Jericho Sims will be traded but he is a marginal piece that will bring in a marginal piece. Our best hope is that Robinson gets on the court soon to give this team exactly what they need.
Trade News Alert: Jericho Sims Traded for Delon Wright.
