PORT JEFF, NY- Greetings, we’re days away from opening day in MLB, so let’s talk some NFL offseason moves!
NFL Free Agency Recap
Ravens back out of Crosby deal
In a stunning turn of events, the blockbuster trade that would’ve sent Maxx Crosby to the Ravens for two first round picks fell through when the Ravens claimed he didn’t pass his physical. The timing of it all is suspicious given that not 24 hours later they signed Trey Hendrickson to a four year $110 million contract after it had been reported other suitors for Hendrickson couldn’t get a deal done. Regardless of how it looks, I think this has worked out extremely well for Baltimore, signing Hendrickson allows them to keep their two first round picks they would’ve parted with in the Crosbytrade while also adding one of the premiere pass rushers in all of football.
Murray to Minnesota
The writing was on the wall for this one. Kyler Murray has had a very interesting career. At times when surrounded with good coaching and a good team he’s performed at a high level and taken his team to the playoffs. However that’s something he just hasn’t had much of the last few years in Arizona. Now, he signs with the Vikings where he’ll be coached by one of the best offensive minds in Kevin O’Connell and one of the best receiving cores in the league. The Vikings managed to win 8 games last year with one of the worst QB seasons we’ve ever seen from a collection of J.J. McCarthy, Max Brosmer, and Carson Wentz, a QB the caliber of Murray should make this team a real contender in 2026. And hey, if all else fails, I’m sure the A’s could always use a speedy middle infielder.
Dolphins sign Willis
After releasing Tua Tagovailoa, the Dolphins signed Malik Willis to a three year deal. I’m not sure what to make of this signing. In his time with the Tennessee Titans, Willis was one of the worst QBs in football, however in his brief time with the Green Bay Packers he was incredibly efficient and proved to be a real dual threat QB. I tend to lean in the direction that Matt LaFleur had a lot to do with his success with Green Bay. I don’t hate this for Miami, the contract isn’t absurd and it’s worth taking a chance that maybe Willis figured something out with the Packers and maybe he’s developed into an above average QB.
Giants Moves

The New York Giants made a pair of adds to their receiving core. They signed Isaiah Likely and Darnell Mooney. Likely has shown a lot of promise and has had some huge games for the Baltimore Ravens over the last few years. I really like this move, Likely is very athletic and could finally be the receiving threat at tight end that this team’s been in need of for many years. As for Mooney, he’s coming off a down season where he struggled to play through a shoulder injury he sustained in the preseason that really hampered his production all year. The year prior he had a career season with over 900 yards. Mooney isn’t a number one receiver but he doesn’t need to be considering this team has Malik Nabers. Adding another pass catcher with big play upside is exactly what this team needed after losing Wan’Dale Robinson in free agency.
