The New York Giants need to move on from Eli. Manning. Look, I know what Eli Manning means to the New York Giants. A pair of Super Bowls and he’s likely a future Hall of Famer.
But it’s time to move on.
Manning is holding the Giants back.
While the defense still needs to improve, they’re a quarterback away from competing in the NFC.
With Saquon Barkley in the backfield and plenty of weapons in the passing game, it’s time to draft a quarterback.
The Giants need to do whatever they can to draft Dwayne Haskins. If Haskins declares, like most expect.
And if he doesn’t look to Joe Flacco or Teddy Bridgewater in the free agent and trade markets.
It’s time to expand the College Football Playoff. Four teams was nice and all, but it’s time to expand the College Football Playoff field.
What makes March Madness so great? The upsets. We need that in the CFP.
Not to mention, UCF really deserved to be in the CFP this year. But there wasn’t room for the Group of 5 school.
I’m not saying that the field needs to be 16 or 32 teams like other divisions throughout the NCAA, but they need to at least consider making it eight teams.
That way each of the Power 5 champs get a bid, the top Group of 5 team gets a bid and you have two at-large bids.
It’s not a perfect solution, but it’s much better.
Hue Jackson doesn’t deserve another head coaching gig in the NFL. I’m sorry, but how is Hue Jackson getting interviews to be an NFL head coach again?
The man went 1-31 in his first two years in Cleveland and held the Browns back this year before he was fired.
You could just tell from watching Hard Knocks that Jackson was in over his head. And if he does get the job in Cincinnati, he’d just hold them back too.
There are better options than Jackson out there. Heck, I’d take Todd Haley over Jackson at this point.
