Rain Man Rants: #RWC7s, Kawhi Leonard trade, WNBA and Tim Tebow

Rain Man Rants: LeSean McCoy, Lakers, Lebron and World Cup WondersEL BARRIO, EL FALLS – I woke up today, knowing I forgot to do something but too tired to remember what it was. Then I got a call I didn’t answer but heard the message. Today is Saturday and I am suppose to have my article. So mad scramble aside, here I go trying to talk about sports during the worst week of sports.  I was challenged by our own Ben Whitney to not add a music piece either so let me get right into today’s topics of: #RWC7s, Kawhi Leonard trade, WNBA and Tim Tebow.

#RWC7S: The soccer World Cup is over but there is another World Cup going on right now. I wrote two pieces on it over at Rugby Wrap up. The Rugby World Cup for 7s rugby is going on in San Francisco as we speak. 7s is the abridged version that new rugby fans love. It is 7 on 7 for two 7 minute halves. Then there is a break until the next game. So perfect time to go grab another beer. I called one of the big upsets on Friday, so you can suck on that one Cheese Man. if you read my rugby articles, I call who will win each match. Hopefully, I cover the spread. Also here is a video for you to watch about the USA team.

Kawhi Leonard Trade: It looks like the Raptors mad a big move to be the best team in the west. Here is the full trade, the Spurs send Leonard to Canada with

Eastward Bound

Danny Green in exchange for DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first-round pick. Now the Internet was busy laughing at DeRozan since he probably thought with LeBron out west, he was finally free to lead the Raptors to the Finals. I feel for him but I also feel for the Raptors coach from last season who was fired because LeBron dominated the series as his team got swept. Now the new coach gets a LeBron free conference and one of the top 10 best players in the league. The East is the Junior conference compared to the West but it will be an interesting fight between Philadelphia, Boston and Toronto to make the finals.

WNBA: I didn’t know they had changed their log either. With this ng the worst week to cover sports, I was listening to a podcast and they were talking about the WNBA. I mean if you like basketball and dont want to a league dominated by just a few teams, this might be the league for you. Not to mention the ladies play good fundamental basketabll, lots of plays and picks with very little isolation calls. So next time you are looking for something to watch, give the ladies a try.

Tim Tebow: Seems like being a good Christian boy has to its perks. Tebow is currently playing with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, just a few clicks south of me. I have no idea what a Rumble Pony is so dont ask. Apparently Tebow is now dating the 2018 South Africa winner for the Ms. Universe parent,  Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters. Things are going well for Tebow because on top of that, he also made the Double A Eastern All-star.
