Grinding Ax Sunday: Tom Brady Retires? Free NFL Picks

COLTS NECK, NJ –  My inside sources have told me that Tom Brady is retiring from the NFL after dominating the league for 22 years. I figured that I might as well jump on bandwagon like everyone else. I still have my doubts that he is done pissing off Bill Belichick, though. His phone call to the Bucs after the reports went out would back that argument. CLICK THIS

To put his success in perspective, here is a list of NFL Quarterbacks with multiple Super Bowl Wins:

  • Tom Brady – 7
  • Joe Montana – 4
  • Terry Bradshaw –4
  •  Troy Aikman –3
  • Eli Manning – 2
  • Peyton Manning – 2
  • Ben Roethlisberger – 2
  • John Elway – 2
  • Jim Plunkett – 2
  • Bob Griese – 2
  • Roger Staubach – 2
  • Bart Starr – 2

Three great ones on this list with more than two which lends to why Brady is aptly named the G.O.A.T.  Love him or hate him, there is no doubt that his big game wins may never be eclipsed.

It’s  NFL Semi Final Sunday!

I hate Frogs

The AFC match-up features two of the best signal callers in the league. Joe Burrow potentially is the best pure passer of the bunch and he is not intimidated by the big stage. His go to guy,  Ja’Marr Chase who is one of the best receivers in the NFL, can beat double coverage with ease. Add Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd to the passing attack plus every gals favorite Joe  Mixon running the ball and you have an offense that can keep up with the Chiefs Patrick Mahomes sounds like Kermit the Frog and sports a hurting hair cut but he is driving a very fast car. Tyreek Hill is ridiculously clutch so defenses must pick their poison. Travis Kelsey Kelce cannot be covered by any safety or linebacker which opens up the run game for Clyde Edwards Helaire and recycled Viking Jerick McKinnon.  While I would love to see the Tigers maul the Chiefs, I trust the Kansas City defense slightly more. Chiefs 38 Bengals 36

Rams avoid the sweep?

The NFC West proved to be the best conference during the 2021-22 campaign. Division rivals square up in this contest. San Francisco won both games during the season which adds motivation for the Rams to avoid the sweep.

The Forty Niners are trending up As they are the hottest team left.  They win despite Jimmy Garoppolo and his ability to hand the ball over to  opposing teams at the worst time each game.  Kyle Shanahan has learned to minimize Jimmy’s involvement by handing and short passing the ball to Deebo Samuel . They should ride this horse as many times as possible.  San Francisco will get after Matt Stafford who must battle the Niners and his Lions demons The Rams get to play the rest of the year at home in Sofi Stadium which should be an advantage.  MTM favorite son, Odell Beckham has looked comfortable drawing single coverage while Cooper Kupp emulates Jack Snow. Sony Michel and Cam Akers are healthy and should get 20-25 Carries to take the heat off Stafford. The Rams bet the ranch on this season, so this  should be a good one. The third meeting will be the charm. Rams 24 Niners 21

Hopefully the refs let these teams play and not sway of the outcome.

Chime in with your delusions and come back for a guy who has tried to retire from this gulag, Junoir Blaber.
