Tampa, FL: It’s pretty damned annoying that you can wake up on the day of your flight these days and find out it’s cancelled. And since I was technically notified over four hours in advance, even though I was sleeping, I am not entitled to compensation even thought there wasn’t another flight available until two days later to a different aiport. Sorry, you stupid piece of cattle, there’s nothing you can do. Anyway, we finally made it to Florida and find myself just an hour away from the Stanley Cup Final Game 3 and the Yankees arriving to beat up on the Rays some more.

Even after the pummeling in Game 2, you knew the Lightning wouldn’t go quietly. It’s impressive how this team can adjust after poor performances.
The Lightning struck with four second period goals and pulled away for the win. The win came at a price, with cagey winger Nikita Kucherov going down after a cross check from ex-Isle Devon Toews. If he’s out, that might be more than the Lightning can overcome.
I’m sticking with my prediction of the Avs in six. But don’t count out the Lightning just yet.
The Yanks
After an unusual hiccup blown loss in Toronto, the Yanks rebounded to win their 50th game last night. That’s 50 wins with 10 games left in June. Get on board now, this team is a wagon.
The Yanks were surely be looking to upgrade at the trade deadline, but they really are no obvious areas of weakness. They’re at the supermarket, but the fridge at home is full.
The IKF and Donaldson trade, jettisoning Gary Sanchez, is looking like a masterstroke by Cashman. I’m not sure what the Yanks will do with Aroldis Chapman, who is close to returning. I’ll take my chances with Clay Holmes over the Chapman roller coaster any day. And he’s not the ideal set up man.
