“NEW YORK, NEW YORK –
It’s a helluva of a town…
the Knicks are high paid,
but they play like some clowns,
the Leprechaun attacks any fan that’s around,
New York, New York…..it’s One Hell of A Town!”
It’s All-Star Week! And there is NO better way to kick off the festivities than having your hometown team’s owner attack a sixty year Knick fan! James Dolan’s diatribe was filled with vitriol towards the fan, who is clearly frustrated by this Leprechaun and his stale brand of Unlucky Charms.
In case you missed it here is Dolan’s love note back to the fan, courtesy of Deadspin:
“You are a sad person. Why would anybody write such a hateful letter. I am.just guessing but ill bet your life is a mess and you are a hateful mess. What have you done that anyone would consider positive or nice. I am betting nothing. In fact ill bet you are negative force in everyone who comes in contact with you. You most likely have made your family miserable. Alcoholic maybe. I just celebrated my 21 year anniversary of sobriety. You should try it. Maybe it will help you become a person that folks would like to have around. In the mean while start rooting.for the Nets because the Knicks don’t want you.”
As you can see, the Leprechaun’s grammar is on par with his teams success! Now back to this week’s Special Events.
Thursday will feature an All Day Dunk-a-Thon, featuring judges from the Original Dream Team – including Coach Brian Williams!
Friday: The Garden opens it doors as the Uber Drivers challenge the Yellow Cabbies in a Dodge Ball contest.
Saturday: At Barclay’s Center, the official Slam Dunk will feature none other than Nets Monster Dunker Mason Plumlee?
Sunday: Before the Big Game, fans will be treated to the battle of New York as James Leprechaun Dolan takes on Nets reluctant owner Mikhail Prokhorov in a One on One game. Dolan will be playing from atop Zen Master Phil Jackson’s shoulders to even the odds.
Finally, the game. Like all the other pro sport All-Star games, it will feature guys chucking up shots with impunity, void of defense. Truly Melo’s kind of game!
But enough about hoops and Dolan… Did you know Brian Williams spent time playing professional Rugby for the All Blacks before he chose journalism full-time?
And yes, the rumors are true that this will be my last weekly contribution on MTM as the management has signed another individual with much more sports writing experience than me. Brian Williams will take over Tuesdays bringing true credibility to this site.
I look forward to my new gig anchoring the NBC Nightly News… to be continued?
Come back tomorrow as Angry Ward continues his crusade in search of the Truth!
