Nick Saban’s Pay Raise, Paul George’s Decision, Jack Morris, Mets make a trade

Rain Man Rants: LeSean McCoy, Lakers, Lebron and World Cup WondersEL BARRIO, EL FALLS – So here it is late firday and I am now writing my piece. My wife is annoyed at me writing for Mini Matt and doesn’t understand why I write for no pay. It is a lot to explain and hard to figure out so I decided to just keep on writing. I did some searching and now let me quickly get to my topics for the day, they are: Nick Saban’s Pay Raise, Paul George’s Decision, Jack Morris, Mets make a trade .

Nick Saban’s Pay Raise: To all those that talk about College athletes shouldn’t get paid or that the kids should spend less money on tattoos and more on books and tuition , wrap your head around this. Nick Saban is about to be paid 8.5 million to make him the highest paid coach in college sports as per his contract because Jimbo Fisher’s move to Texas A&M changed things and got Urban Meyer a bump, Saban will not get a bump. Yet people want to worry about amateur athletes getting their piece of the pie.

Paul George’s Decision: So after ducking the press for a few weeks, Paul George decided to finally explain why he chose to stay with OKC and not move to be with his hometown Lakers and joined LeBron. He is answer was basically Russell Westbrook. Russell may have chased Kevin Durant away but it seems that after playing a year together, George is no firmly on team Russell’s best friends least. Apparently Russell laid it all on the line in private conversations with George but this time Westbrook was plan speaking and honest and it was enough to make George give up a chance of a ring to join Westbrook in his quest to be the best also-rans ever.

Jack Morris: Member of the newest baseball class of 2019, Jack Morris, was asked about his thoughts on how the game has changed and he believes analytics is overrated. He stated he would not take it too well to be taken out of a game based on the idea of a pitch count and not his actual performance. He thinks the game has not gotten over-complicated and the focus for pitchers need to focus on wins and losses. All of the stuff after that is a superfluous nonsense.

Mets make a good deal: Unlike their previous deals were they traded away a good player for nothing, This time Asdurbal Cabrera was sent to the Philies for a top of the line prospect. I was a better move than people can assgignned to him. Cabrera will be fine in Philly and I am happy the Mets keep their core two in the pitching staff.
