SPANISH HARLEM – Welcome back to the MLB Dog Days of NYC. As for the team in the Bronx, there is something that we can take from this lost Yankees’ season; that more prospects will be brought up and be given a chance to play. The movement has started and should continue to do so. The organization and manager Aaron Boone will tell you that winning is the most important thing – that is until they are mathematically eliminated.
Elimination could come any day now, and while they should have waved the white flag a couple of weeks ago, we may finally see what the future could look like. I fully expect at some point in the next couple days for Aaron Judge to be shut down. Let him have whatever procedure is determined for the lingering toe injury. The Captain showed he wanted to make playoffs by trying to play through the injury, but it’s time to take the high road here and make sure he is 100% for next season.
Let the fans to see more players from the farm system. I know there is always an issue about 40-Man Roster stuff but who cares at this point? You can always make more space by waving guys you aren’t bringing back. Hopefully, bye-bye Josh Donaldson and anyone else taking up a roster spot that won’t be here next year. It was fun when it happened in 2016 and maybe we have a fun couple of weeks to enjoy the rookies before the end of this miserable season.
Thats it for now, come back tomorrow for more content.
