Jets Dream Off-Season, MLB FA predictions, Hot Stove

HOLBROOK, NY – I’m sure all of you are sick of me trying to find entertaining ways to reintroduce myself each week, so let’s just get into it. Giants and Jets Dream offseason, MLB Hot Stove & FA Predictions

Giants Dream Off-season
This season was an unmitigated disaster for the G-Men. Daniel Jones and the offense regressed after signing a new 4-year, 160 million-dollar contract. Saquon Barkley missed some crucial games, once again. And a tale as old as time: the offensive line was by far the worst in the #NFL.

The Jints once again enter an off-season with one piece to the puzzle on the O-Line. With star left tackle – Andrew Thomas – the other four spots are up for grabs. Look at free agency and the draft, as there are some intriguing pieces that could help the G-Men in the trenches. Superstar running back Barkley is a free agent after being franchise-tagged last season. All signs point to Saquon not being back in blue next season. I personally think this would be a huge mistake. The Giants don’t seem to have a suitable replacement, and have issues at quarterback. Having someone the caliber of Barkley would take the pressure off and allow whomever is under center to breathe a sigh of relief. Other key FAs are safety Xavier McKinney and cornerback Adoree Jackson. McKinney is the one I would keep if I had a say in the matter, being that he is only 24 and has solidified himself as a top safety in the game.

Jets Dream Off-season
In case you didn’t hear… Gang Green caught a tough break last season, losing star QB Arron Rodgers to an Achilles injury after four snaps. The Jets, like the Giants, also have a horrific o-line and will look to the draft and free agency to improve. But where are the Jets’ biggest need this off-season? A vet QB. After losing Rodgers, the team turned to Zach Wilson, along with sprinkles of Tim Boyle and Trevor Siemian.Former Giants QB Tyrod Taylor would be at the top of my list. With talents Garret Wilson and Breece Hall, the Jets would just need someone who is good enough to run an offense. On the other side of the ball, retaining edge rusher Bryce Huff should be their number one priority in free agency. The Jets will also be looking to improve up front as well.

MLB Hot Stove & FA Predictions

Jackson Sternberg

There are an unprecedented number of high-profile free agents, such as Cody Bellinger, Matt Chapman, Jordan Montgomery, and reigning NL Cy Young winner Blake Snell. All the players listed here are Scott Boras clients. It is nearly impossible to predict where these players will go, as almost half the league has expressed some form of interest in them. BUT…  let’s take a crack at it! I have Chapman going from the Blue Jays to the San Francisco GiantsJordan Montgomery going from the defending champion Texas Rangers to the Boston Red Sox. Boston has been lacking a big-name free agent acquisition, and this would give them an ace to pair with budding star Bryan BelloCody Bellinger will ultimately go back to the Cubbies… Last but certainly not least, the reigning Cy Young Award winner, Blake Snell, will sign with the New York Yankees… Elsewhere, the upstart Pirates have signed pitcher Mitch Keller to a 5-year contract extension… Your Miami Marlins snagged SS Tim Anderson on a one-year deal, hoping he could revert back to form.

That’s it for me, drop your thoughts below and come back tomorrow for Aristotle “Mugsy” Sakellaridis.
