The Joto jersey was a bargain.

SPANISH HARLEM – Well, it was inevitable that the New York Yankees would lose Juan Soto to the New York Mets – in my opinion. The only thing I hoped would supersede top dollar would be the comfort and joy Soto had playing in Pinstripes. I can’t say I was surprised that he took the money and that Cohen actually offered what he did.

As Yankees fans you move on and hope the front office does everything they can do to make this a competitive club. Add the players necessary to win a championship. That said, they signed Max Fried on Tuesday to an 8-year deal. A friend of mine asked me why the Yankees signed another pitcher. I said, “you can never have enough pitching.” It is the first step of what I hope are many, or at least a couple of good ones that makes the overall lineup better than it was last season, even with Soto.

I also stated to said friend that I wanted Anthony Santander, Alex Bergman and Fried. We are one third from that scenario happening. While Bergman is probably too hated by Yankees fans for being a part of the Houston Astros, he is a 3rd baseman that they need. Santander is a switch-hitter and belted 44 home runs, so he should be the top bat coveted to replace Soto.

Buddy Diaz

Then you have the Japanese phenom known as Roki Sasaki, who we can all assume will somehow find his way to the Dodgers. All we ask is that they don’t defer the international money that will be used to sign this kid. I would like him on the Yankees, just like I want any player that can make them better. We will see how that goes but keep in mind that the Dodgers have to be the team to beat here.

That’s it for now, please come back tomorrow for Action Jackson Sternberg
