New York Knicks Must Learn From Mistakes

SPANISH HARLEM – Tuesday night was a gut-wrenching loss for the New York Knicks. I was excited when they were up by 6 with a minute left but I knew from Game 2 that no lead is safe. As we all saw, not only did the 76ers come back to tie the game, but they took game 5 and now we head back to Philadelphia looking to extend the series for a game 7 back at Madison Square Garden.

There is a lot that I can break down that led to this loss, but I don’t get paid enough for that. All you need to know is in a game like this, you need a little luck and some calls to go your way. That is exactly what the Sixers received with the Tyrese Maxey 3-pointer that saw Mitchell Robinson foul him in the act making it 4-point play. There is your luck factor kicking in. What are the odds that a shot thrown up like that makes it in? Maybe 4 to 1 – I don’t know possibly lower. but he made it and now we see the Knicks go Philly to try to close out the series.

It won’t be easy, and they will need to bring their “A” game on defense because that crowd will be ruckus and I don’t expect many Knicks fans this time around due the effect of game 4 by New York Fans in the building. I could be wrong here, but something tells me that it will be a totally different atmosphere. Can the Knicks win… of course they can, they showed that can in game 4 but they will have to limit their mistakes from game 5 to do so.

That’s it for now, come back tomorrow for Jackson Sternberg, who’s been ignoring the NY Rangers.
