NFL Training Camp Begins, Will the Knicks Trade Julius Randle?

Any room left for Julius Randle?

SPANISH HALREM – I really can’t stand the New York Yankees at this point in my summer. Therefore, I’ll spare you and refrain from writing about them, asI want to keep my sanity. Instead, the focus will be: NFL Training Camp Begins, Will the Knicks Trade Julius Randle?

NFL Training Camp Begins

Football is in the air and though we get news all year round, this is the time when all fans can get excited about the upcoming NFL season. Players report to camp (or not related to holdouts) ready to begin training and working on their game. Top priorities remain avoiding injuries but also putting in the proper time and energy needed to be ready for the preseason and beyond. Some players come in injured and while others will deal with some type of injury during camp but it’s all about being ready to go when the season begins. Luck will play a factor, as it does every season but it’s also a time to be hopeful for the future.

MANAGEMENT INTERRUPTION: The New York Mets SWEPT the New York Yankees. Now back to Buddy’s column.

Will the Knicks Trade Julius Randle?

Maybe it’s me jumping to every click bait provided on Randle, but I have seen an absurd number of articles trading Julius for some player or another. I assume it’s a terrific way to add content, especially for someone being paid to produce said content. I just can’t think why the Knicks and Leon Rose would trade him unless blown away by the pieces moving to them. Randle may not be a knockdown 3-point shooter, but he certainly adds a level of shooting beyond the arc that is serviceable and helpful to the offense, especially with corners 3s.

I understand people comparing the Knicks to the Celtics and wanting someone to provide the length and shooting that Kristaps Porzingis provides for spacing in the offense but there aren’t many players like Porzingis in the league. I would rather take my chances with Randle to start the league and see if he can mesh with Mikal Bridges, the way he did with OG Anunoby and Jalen Brunson. Julius will have to get used to less touches, but he can be more efficient with more capable scorers the Knicks will have in their lineup. I guess what I am saying is… let’s keep Randle.

That’s it for now, come back tomorrow for more content.
