SPANISH HARLEM – Let me start by wishing everyone Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. Unfortunaley for Yankees Fans, this is not the greatest of times to be a fan. We continue to wait for the next big signing that doesn’t happen. It’s getting to the point where this is a yearly thing to deal with.
Every day we wait on the Yankees, Steinbrenner and/or Brian Cashman to make a move that will get this team closer to a championship. Something that resembles effort or even news that shows we are talking to anybody. We hear they are in on Bellinger but nothing else, it can’t be that difficult to at least entertain other free agents and yet nothing. Why aren’t we in the mix for Tatsuya Imai? Am I as confused on this as you or am I being unreasonable?
At this point, I see us losing Bellinger – and probably to the Mets – as they seem to love anybody that wore pinstripes. If that’s the case, and you don’t value enough him to sign him now, then move on and make this team better. It’s hard to not to see that this team, as constructed, is a failed result for a championship contender. What are they waiting for?

Maybe they make some trades and recoup talent that way but why give up talent when you can sign them. I really don’t know what they will do, how they will fare when all is said and done and that scares me. I have no confidence in this organization to find a way, when every year they continue to do the same thing… settle.
That’s it for now, please come back tomorrow for more great content from Jackson Sternberg.
