#LFGM Mets vs Dodgers: Game 6
The Mets will try to keep their magical season alive in game 6 with Sean Manaea on the mound. There’s no pitcher on this staff I’d rather have on the mound than Manaea, he’s been money all year long and I expect him to show up when we need him most. For the Dodgers it’ll likely be a bullpen game. The Mets would seemingly have the advantage with Manaea on the mound, however the Dodgers bullpen has been incredible this season so whatever complement of arms Dave Roberts chooses to roll with in game 6 will certainly be formidable. As I said before the series I’m extremely proud of this team and even more so for fighting back when down 3-1, this series is certainly not finished but I think it’s important to recognize how incredible of a season it’s been regardless of the outcome of tonight’s game.
Yankees Win AL Pennant
The Yankees defeated the Guardians last night in Cleveland to win the ALCS 4-1. Giancarlo Stanton was named MVP of the series and he was incredible, slugging 4 HRs. This series wasn’t close. Even with a lackluster series from Aaron Judge, Cleveland never really had a shot to upset the Yankees. Despite a seemingly easier path to the World Series, this team deserves credit for getting there. There were several points throughout the season where it looked like this team would do as they’d done many times in the past few years and fold coming down the stretch. Yet, here they are. The Yankees will likely be favored over the Mets or Dodgers to win it all.
Jets Get Davonte Adams
The Jets acquired Davante Adams from the Raiders earlier this week. After another close loss this move became even more obvious. Adams is a massive upgrade for the Jets at WR where they lacked any real talent behind Garrett Wilson. Despite the loss, I was very impressed by the Jets offense last week. Rodgers looked very sharp, Breece Hall looked very good on the ground and through the air, and overall the offense looked unrecognizable to the one we’d seen in previous weeks with Nathanial Hackett calling the plays. Sitting at 2-4 for the season, the Jets aren’t finished quite yet. However they’re in desperate need of a win this week in Pittsburgh.
