PORT JEFF, NY – We don’t have time to dance around the important stuff. Let’s dive in to: Where Do Giants Go From Here? St. Johns Litmus Test, NFC East Battle
Where Do Giants Go From Here?
The Daniel Jones era in New York has seemingly come to an end, sitting at 2-8, again, going into the bye week the Giants have will most likely go with Drew Lock, after a loss to the lowly Panthers in Germany there is only one place for big blue to go. and that’s up, from the outside looking in, the roster itself doesn’t look great however, there is a core in place with guys such as proven stars Dexter Lawrence Brian Burns, and Andrew Thomas the nucleus is there, the rookie class headlined by Malik Nabers looks to be one of the best in football, Dru Phillips looks to be one of the better slot-corners in the league and RB Tryone Tracy looks to be a find as he leads rookies in rushing yards, Tyler Nubin leads all rookies in tackles from the safety position. The Giants are a flawed team, no question but I don’t think they are as far off as many pundits may say they are.
St. Johns Litmus Test
This past Monday the red storm found themselves back inside the top 25 checking in at number 22 for the first time in 5 years, after a beatdown of Wagner on Wednesday the red storm face their biggest challenge to date in a clash of the Pitinos as Richard brings his lobos of New Mexico to MSG in a monster showdown on Sunday afternoon, this game begins a stretch of tough games that include Baylor, Georgia and Kansas State, last season Pitino’s bunch had a few slip ups in the non-conference that wound up costing them a chance to go the NCAA tournament, New Mexico poses a legit threat and will be one of the tougher games on the schedule, but if the red storm are serious about returning to their glory days, a must win game on Sunday awaits.
NFC East Battle
The fate of first place in the NFC east was at stake Thursday night, the surprising 7-3 commanders went into Philly and put up a good fight against an Eagles team that’s red hot right now, even with Jalen Hurts struggling, with the addition of former Giant Saquon Barkley, the birds have found ways to win and currently sit at 8-2 and in first place in the NFC east, as for Washington, they’ve dropped two in a row to fall to 7-4 but are still in a good spot to make the postseason with their rookie sensation Jayden Daniels at QB.
That’s it for me, let’s hear your thoughts below. And come back tomorrow for Aristotle “Mugsy” Sakellaridis.
