SPANISH HARLEM – The New York Knicks have now won 8 straight, after possibly the most exciting game of the season, by defeating the Denver Nuggets 134-127 on Wednesday night. It’s crazy to think that 8 games ago, this same team looked lost, as trades rumors floated around for Giannis. Yes, this unit still has flaws, but when they are playing THIS type of basketball, us fans can dream big.

Thanks to Jalen Brunson, who put on his superhero cape and willed this team through both overtimes. This was a game they could easily have lost – and not thought twice about it. The lead never grew to more than 9 points for either team and for every punch the Knicks threw, the Nuggets threw two right back. Jamal Murray was unstoppable for most of the game but missed what could have been the game winning 3 after the first overtime. An iffy foul call on Mikal Bridges gave Denver the chance to tie the game… and that they did.

That made me think that this was a game they would eventually lose BUT thankfully I was wrong.
Though it was a great win at home, it doesn’t get any easier for the Knicks, as they head to Detroit to face the Pistons. We all remember what they did to them the last time they played but they also were going through a spiral of losses that culminated in an embarrassing loss. A win against the Pistons would certainly be the highlight of this current winning streak, at least for me. Though I know they have to lose at some point, I want this one badly.
That’s it for now, please come back tomorrow for Jackson Sternberg. who will likely talk Jonnies or Jints.
And now for your Six Nations Rugby Special:
