SPANISH HARLEM – It’s easy to write something when you get… not one but two crazy events that happen in sports. First, I will give an opinion on the Max Crosby fiasco, while turning my attention to the 83-point outburst by Bam Adebayo. Let’s jump right into it.
Baltimore Reneges on Crosby Trade
This is a situation where the Ravens trade for Max Crosby to then get cold feet. The Ravens knew about Crosby’s knee injury before they completed the trade and that is what makes their decision to go back on the trade all the more egregious. My opinion is that they saw the news about possibly overpaying with 2 first round picks and figured the best way to get out of this would be to say he didn’t pass his physical… because of course he wasn’t going to pass his physical. He just had surgery in January, and they knew going in yet still decided to give up 2 first rounders. Unfortunately, there is no way to penalize the Ravens, and this hurts the Raiders and Max Crosby the most, which seems so unfair.
Bam Adebayo Makes History
Is Bam the most out of leftfield player to score 83 points? When I saw the news, I said to myself “no freaking way”. It just seems so weird for someone that is scoring 16 points a game to get such a big scoring outburst like this. Now I know there were nefarious ways to this got done, from fouled players on the Heat missing free throws to get Bam more possessions but keep in mind that the wizards were fouling players to avoid Bam from getting the ball. Sure, the Heat were also force feeding him the ball and credit to him for scoring from all over the floor. Some may say that he should have been taken out of the game because the Heat had a big lead, but they tried for history and got it.
