SPANISH HARLEM – The New York Yankees have shown some signs of life with a sweep of the Washington Nationals, they are still a long way from the team the fans want them to be. It’s quite sad that it has be Jazz Chisolm to lead the charge when it comes to calling players out amid their frustrating stretch. Where was Boone and Judge in this? Anyhow, let’s get to more pressing matters.
Where are Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton?
While I know it can’t be easy to deal with a rib injury when you’re that big and strong, we still have no definitive timetable on Judge. All we know is that he is not ready to participate in baseball activities, yet what is stopping them from getting an MRI? What’s the waiting for, wouldn’t you want to know how far along he is or do they know something that they don’t want the media to know?
Stanton is a whole another thing, this injury went from Boone saying that he may not hit the injured list to never hearing about him again. We know for sure he had a setback but not much else is known. Playing baseball this season is yet to be determined and that is pretty much the career he has had in a Yankee uniform. We know he can still perform at a high level though we never know for how long he will last before an injury derails him.
The Trade Market
There is no question that the Yankees need a right-handed catcher and the focus is on Ryan Jeffers. The Twins will ask for a lot though he will be a free agent at the end of the year. I hope that the Yankees can find way to add him to the roster, but something has me believing that they go get a lesser name that will frustrate fans.

Another option is the reliever route and boy do they need help there. They are not consistent enough to keep it the way it is. Bednar is not someone I can depend on and everyone else below him is worse. They need a truly elite closer to have any chance of making a long run in the playoffs.
That’s it for now, please come back tomorrow for more great revelations from Jackson Sternberg.
