Giants Offense: What’s The Outlook?
There may not be a more important development for the Giants heading into the 2026 season than Malik Nabers looking healthy and on track to play Week 1.
Nabers missed the majority of last season after suffering a torn ACL, but all indications are that his recovery is progressing well and the Giants remain optimistic about having their star wide receiver available for the season opener. If Nabers can get back to being the explosive playmaker we saw before the injury, it could completely change the outlook of this Giants offense.
Nabers is the type of player who can dictate how a defense approaches an entire game. His ability to win one-on-one matchups, create separation and make plays after the catch gives the Giants a legitimate No. 1 option who can take pressure off everyone else on the offense. More importantly, having Nabers on the field should make life much easier for quarterback Jaxson Dart.
But the Giants’ ceiling could be even higher if they can keep their other key offensive pieces healthy.
Cam Skattebo is also trending toward being ready for Week 1 after making an impressive recovery from the devastating leg injury he suffered last season.
That gives the Giants a potentially exciting trio: Dart at quarterback, Skattebo in the backfield and Nabers as the centerpiece of the passing game.
There are obviously plenty of questions that still need to be answered but if those three players can stay healthy and develop together, I think the Giants have a real chance to surprise people this season.
The talent is there. Now they just need to stay on the field. Which is probably the biggest hurdle for this team heading into the season. For the first team in a very long time the Giants finally feel like there’s some level of competency at both Head Coach and QB heading into the season. With John Harbaugh, this team has a legitimate floor and really has a chance to compete in an NFC east that has many question marks headed into 2026.
