PORT JEFF, NY- The first Sunday of the NFL season is finally here! Whoopee! Let’s discuss the New York Football Giants!
Giants Season Preview
This is about as high as expectations have been in many years entering a season. For the first time since the Eli/Tom Coughlin era, the Giants will enter the year with a (somewhat) competent duo at Head Coach and Quarterback. As far as health goes, things went about as well as possible for this team, particularly with Malik Nabers who is still somewhat iffy for week one but by all account will be really soon into the season. Cam Skattebo has also had a very encouraging camp following his devastating leg injury a year ago.
This team has a very wide range of outcomes this season. If Dart stays healthy and the O-line is better than expected, I think the Giants can absolutely be a wild card team. Where my concerns come from are a secondary that allowed a ton of big plays last year and isn’t much improved, an offensive coordinator in Matt Nagy who’s coached some of the worst offenses in football in every stop he’s made in his career. Having said that, I do believe Jaxson Dart and this offensive personnel is talented enough to overcome that. I do also think John Harbaugh will bring a level of professionalism that this team has truly lacked for over a decade.
My official prediction 8-9

I think we see this team play in a lot of high-scoring games and I think Dart will have a strong season as long as he stays healthy, but I just don’t think this team is truly good enough to make the leap this season in an extremely competitive NFC.
