New York, NY: It’s the (sled) dog days of winter, and with some more bad weather coming in, I can’t even muster of the inspiration of a Short Matt preview on the Yankees’ pitching staff. Is this how Junoir feels every week? Let’s talk some Knicks and Jets, Julius Randle and Aaron Rodgers, I guess.
Roughing Up Randle
The Clippers have the blueprint for beating the Knicks. – just bang Julius Randle around a bit. The Knicks were neck and neck in LA on Saturday late in the third when Julius overreacted to a few bumps and threw an elbow at Mason Plumlee. Randle has thinner skin than a freshly picked plum.
The technical foul flipped momentum and the Clippers pulled away. All you need is a third string center with a little beef and sharp elbows, and Randle and the Knicks might self-destruct.
A-Rodg Follows Favre to the Jets
Jets fans forget that Brett Favre was dominating in his one season with the team until he hurt his arm. Just for fun, let’s take a look at the list of Jets’ starting QBs over the Jets’ 12-year playoff drought: Mark Sanchez, Greg McElroy, Geno Smith, Mike Vick, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bryce Petty, Sam Darnold, Josh McCown, Luke Falk, Trevor Siemian, Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco, and Mike White.
If you’re looking for QBs that did time, have cool beards, or fumble with their butt, it’s a hell of a list. But the list is not exactly stuffed with HOFers. Exactly 0.0% of them had winning records for the Jets.
It’s surprising to me that so many Jets’ fans don’t seem to want Aaron Rodgers, one of the best to ever do it. Why? Because he comes off as a bit of douche. Jeez, it’s almost like these fans like to lose or something. They’re like guys that don’t want to leave jail or the captors that end up loving their kidnappers. They’ve been institutionalized.
Garrett Wilson is on board. It is probably a slight upgrade from the Zach attack.
Tweeting from the Caribbean he said, ” I can finally enjoy my vacation now.”
Something tells me that the Jets’ fans are gonna come around real fast. It’s gonna be interesting, that’s for sure.
