Knicks Keep Us Guessing

It's been a while since Knicks fans had reason to get giddy!

SPANISH HARLEM – I don’t even know where to begin. Just one day removed from getting totally dismantled in Indiana, the New York Knicks come out and play possibly their best game this postseason. This team is running with 7 players due to OG Anunoby’s injury – and yet they will not die. They keep on fighting with every ounce of their being, leaving nothing on the court.

Sure, Sunday was bad for the Knicks, but it was just as bad for Pacers on Tuesday. The Knicks looked like a team that was battered and bruised – which they are – but that didn’t matter. They were playing at the World’s Most Famous Arena and the fans would not let them down. Everyone at Madison Square Garden was formidable and loud and provided the type of emotion that was needed for a game of that magnitude.

Jalen Brunson was the engine and provided another 40-point game to the list of playoff success this postseason. He is a superstar, showing the basketball world that he should be spoken of as one of the elites in the game today. He has put this team behind his back and with one good leg to the brink of the Conference Finals.

Josh Hart did Josh Hart things and is the heart and soul of this team. Miles McBride started and added 17 points with amazing defense on Tyrese Haliburton. Isaiah Hartenstein was an offensive rebounding force, allowing the Knicks to get second chance points. Even Donte DiVincenzo, who would himself say he played a poor game but was a force on defense. Oh, and can’t forget about Old Man Burks, who provided a needed scoring spark off the bench.

Just when you think this team can’t give any more than they already have, they come out and give fans the best thing in sports… a Fighters Chance.

That’s it for now, please come back tomorrow for Action Jackson Sternberg.
