Zach Galifianakis vs 50 Cent at Knicks game?!

SPANISH HARLEM – It’s a new year but some things haven’t changed for the New York Yankees, they still need an infielder whether its at 3rd base or 2nd base. On the other hand, a hot Knicks team had to snap a 3-game losing streak – an ugly one, at that. Let’s discuss.

Yankees On Polanco and Kim

The rumors have continued to swirl around He-Seong Kim, as he is a great glove man, known to play all over the infield. He could step right in and play 3rd base but the issue is that he is coming off a shoulder injury. He may not be available to start the season. Another option that has come up  recently – and one I really like – is Jorge Polanco. He’s a switch-hitter that has some pop. He has a solid glove, though not better than Kim’s. Either way, the Yankees need to make a decision soon before both guys are off the table.

Knicks 3-Game Skid

Nothing is worse than starting the year on a 3-game losing streak, after the winning high of December, the Knicks came back down in sobering fashion, before Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges helped them win last night.  BUT… they need to improve their outside shooting if they have any chance of contending. They haven’t shot the 3 well lately, and that includes that latter portion of the December winning streak. The schedule will get tougher so it was important to play well vs the Raptors. Was it a must-win game? Probably not. Winning on Wednesday, however, got them back on the block and back in the win column. Every win matters, as it won’t get any easier. The grind is real. Only wins matter, and then it’s on to the next battle.

Buddy Diaz

SIDE NOTE: I have a really good friend, someone I consider family. It’s his birthday and his favorite team is Notre Dame, so Happy Birthday, Kevin, and let’s go Irish???
