Happier times for Knicks and Mets?

Port Jeff NY, Happy Sunday. Let’s talk some b-ball; Knicks Down 2-0, Mets Beat Dodgers!

Knicks Down 2-0

After the disastrous collapse in game one where the Pacers miraculously overcame a fourteen point defect with just two minutes to play. This has been a common theme for this pacers team. They simply won’t quit until the final buzzer. The game one loss while devastating can’t entirely be blamed on the Knicks. They made their shots down the stretch and continued to apply pressure, however the Pacers went absolutely nuclear from deep and it was just enough to force OT and end up stealing game one. Game two was a different story. The Pacers were flat out the better team. The Knicks had no answers for perhaps the games most underrated superstars Pascal Siakam who scored 39. Despite being down 2-0 I don’t think this series is over. Brunson has continued to lead this team and when he’s on they’re capable of overcoming any defect.

Mets Beat Dodgers

Jacob Sternberg

The Amazins beat the Brooklyn Dodgers 5-2 Saturday night. After a rough past week, this team finally looked like the one we saw for the first month and a half. This is exactly what the team  (and fans) needed. Soto had two hits including a two run double that gave them the lead. Alonso had two hits. Brett Baty continued his hot stretch since being recalled with three more hits. Edwin Diaz looked truly dominant for the first time in a while. With Mark Vientos’ slow start to the season, Baty had been incredible. If this continues it’ll be almost impossible for Carlos Mendoza to keep him out of the lineup.
