SPANISH HARLEM – Today I will be discussing the New York Knicks and Max Fried, so let’s jump right into it.
Knicks Lose
The Knicks couldn’t close it out in Boston but now have the opportunity to do it in New York. Winning yesterday would have been fun too, but they just weren’t in the cards. It was game where the Celtics came out swinging, putting pressure on the Knicks offense to score. They are still a very good team without Jason Tatum and have players that will compete until the very end. You somehow knew that they would play the hardest when the chips were down. So now, we are off to New York, with what we hope will be a celebration at the Garden because I know no one in New York wants to see a game 7 in Boston.
Max Fried is HIM
While watching the New York Yankees lose in extra-innings on Tuesday, I kept thinking about Max Fried. I never in my wildest dreams think that he was THIS good. I knew he was an Ace on Atlanta Braves, but I didn’t see or know much about him, but I can sure say now, he is HIM. Which if you didn’t know, is the new way to say a player is awesome. HIM means the best or one of the best players at his position and I can honestly say I love to watch him pitch. Even on a day that he labored through 5 innings of one run, it’s easy to see what makes him so much fun to watch. His control, his curveball, his demeanor, his dominance, all there and very fascinating to see. He is one of the best pitchers in baseball right now and I’m glad he is on the Yankees.
