PORT JEFF, NY- Greetings, another week. Let’s chat re the #TikTok deal with China. No? Okay, f*** that. Let’s get to the important stuff: Giants Meltdown Aftermath, World Series Recap.
Giants Meltdown Aftermath
It’s been discussed enough all week but I still can’t actually fathom what took place in the fourth quarter in Denver. In what looked to be one of their most impressive victories in years, the Giants had one of their all time meltdowns. Allowing 33 points in the fourth quarter. Having beat the Eagles the week prior, it looked like the Giants were putting something together and maybe had a chance at a mid season resurgence. If there’s one positive to take from last week, it’s that Jaxson Dart – despite his costly turnover – looks like the Giants QB of the future. Facing as difficult a matchup as possible on the road against one of the best defenses in football, Dart played exceptionally, and did everything in his power to give this team a chance to win. It’s weird to say it given how bad of a loss it was, but I feel very good about where this team is right now. Dart looks great, Skattebo has been phenomenal, and the O-line has been one of the best since the return of Andrew Thomas. The defense remains a work in progress but they still have several very good pass rushers who you can build around for years to come.
World Series Recap

The Dodgers evened up the World Series in their win over the Blue Jays in Game 2. With the series headed back to LA, I think Toronto has positioned themselves very nicely to have a real shot at the upset here. While the Dodgers have the deepest rotation on Earth with Glasnow and Ohtani both yet to pitch, the Blue Jays have shown an ability to hang in games just long enough and wear pitchers down. But I think ultimately LA win this series because of that depth. They have just an incredible amount of well-above-average arms. This series will be very entertaining and I expect Jays to be able to push this seven games but come up just shy against the mighty Los Angelenos.
