SPANISH HARLEM – I won’t discuss the events on the New York Yankees Game 2 Wild Card game, as it will unfortunately finish too late. YET – I will update at the end this article on Thursday morning. Hopefully it’s good news. After seeing what happened in game 1, I’m in panic mode (for more on that, please read AngryWard’s article from yesterday).
Let’s change subject and as the resident Knicks superfan, we finally get to see this group in action. It is an unconventional preseason game, as they will be playing 2 games in Abu Dhabi against the Philadelphia 76ers. Questions remain about how this team will jell on offense, but I don’t expect a well-oiled machine at this point in the year. Don’t be surprised if you see some sloppiness, as there should be adjustments that the returning players will have to make to run this offense at their upmost ability.
What we will get is Mike Brown’s first starting lineup. While I don’t expect to see Josh Hart starting, as the rumors are that Mitchell Robinson has been running with the first team. I don’t think that specific starting lineup with be etched in stone for the regular season, but I do believe that Brown wants KAT and Mitch to get more comfortable playing together. The small sample size we saw last year in the playoffs showed that when the opportunity is there, they should take it.
I have this feeling that Brown will experiment with multiple starters depending on the matchups especially early on in the season. It should benefit in the long run and may make strategizing more difficult when playing the Knicks. The starters will include OG, Mikal, Brunson and KAT, if healthy but everything else is up for grabs. It should be fun to watch.
Updated – Yankees Win a Nail Bitter
After playing a close game on Tuesday, the Yankees and Red Sox were back at matching run for run until the very end. The Yankees won 4-3, on a big double from Austin Wells and are now one win away from capturing the series, while the same could be said about the Red Sox. If today’s game goes as the last two before it, we are in for another baseball treat. GO YANKEES!, let’s get this done!
That’s it for now, please come back tomorrow for more great content from Jackson Sternberg.
