SPANISH HARLEM – Every year around this same time and month, my Yankees frustration goes into an all-time high. Is it coincidence? It is bad managing? Is the front office to blame? … No… Yes, and yes. Let me explain.
Why This is Not a Coincidence
You can literally write this on your calendar every June and July. The Yankees will suck and lose more games than they win during this period. It’s like clockwork for the last for 4 to 5 years. You can look at this team and say they are missing Judge. You would be right to assume that his injury would affect them, but when you look back at last year, this happened with him in the lineup. There is some bad Juju going on when the calendar hits June, there is no way around.
Why Boone is to Blame
I am not an Aaron Boone hater, for as much as I complain about him. He is very well liked, and some might even say loved by the players. I think Aaron Judge goes to bat for him, which is why he is still managing. What strikes me is how he never admits when one or more players are stinking it up. He always tries to find the positive and I think that is a detriment to this team. I am not saying he should tear a new a-hole into this group, but he also shouldn’t act like everything is ok. Some players should be benched and/or sent down to the minors and if he has a say in that then he is part of the problem.
This is on Cashman as Well

Let’s get this straight, Brian Cashman is the front office. I’m sure he has his minions that provide him with opinions and information, yet he is the one that makes all the decisions. He has built a team that strikeouts and hit home runs, when they aren’t hitting homers, the strikeouts come in abundance. This is their model for modern baseball, and it was implemented by Cashman. Tell me, where has that gotten them… To one World Series embarrassment in how many years? I put all the blame on him because it starts and ends with him. We need a change and everybody knows it but the Yankees.
That’s it for now, please come back tomorrow for more great revelations from Jackson Sternberg.
